How do I track slot sessions and wins and losses?

By Edge Lord ·

Set your bankroll in EdgeTilt's Bankroll Manager, tap Start Session when you sit down, add any rebuys, and end the session with your final amount. Your result and bankroll update right away. From there, Advanced Metrics shows your win rate, expectancy, drawdown and risk of ruin.

Step by step

  1. Set your bankroll. Open Slots, then Bankroll Manager, and set your overall bankroll via the + Set your bankroll to get started button on a new account. Need to change it later? Tap Edit. later edits get saved as adjustments, so your Trend chart shows them instead of quietly rewriting history.
  2. Start a session. Tap Start Session and enter the casino, game type (slots or tables), date, start time and your starting amount. A timer runs while you play.
  3. Add rebuys. Topped up mid-session? Tap Rebuy and enter the amount.
  4. End the session. Enter your final amount and any notes, like machine mix or promos used.
  5. Forgot to start one? Use Log previous session(s) to enter it after the fact, including hours played. Or import them from CSV.
  6. Review. Check Session History, Locations, Charts and Trend, then open Advanced Metrics.

The four tabs

TabWhat it shows
OverviewOverall bankroll, all-time P/L, sessions, average per hour, and Session History

TrendRunning P/L with peak and trough and adjustments, plus an optional Monte Carlo fan 50, 100 or 200 sessions ahead

What the Advanced Metrics mean

MetricWhat it tells you
Win RateWinning sessions divided by all sessions. AP slot play often wins less than half the time, so read it with Payoff Ratio
ExpectancyYour average result per session
Profit FactorTotal won divided by total lost. Above 1.0× means your tracked sessions are up overall
Payoff RatioAverage win divided by average loss
Max DrawdownThe biggest drop from a peak to a later low
Recovery FactorTotal P/L divided by Max Drawdown
Risk of RuinShare of 5,000 simulated futures, drawn from your own sessions, where you lose 75% of your current bankroll
Kelly FractionThe share of bankroll the Kelly rule says to risk per session, with Half Kelly shown as a starting point. Reads "No Edge" if negative
Std Deviation and SkewnessHow spread out and how lopsided your results are
Sortino and CalmarRisk-adjusted return measures for comparing periods
Ulcer IndexHow deep and how long your drawdowns run
Max Win and Loss StreakYour longest runs of winning and losing sessions

These describe your past results. Not the machines, and not your future. They swing hard on a small sample, so give them dozens of sessions before you trust them.

How it connects to the calculators

The slot calculators read the bankroll you set here. Most calculators show a Bankroll Risk card. That card compares a play's Potential Loss with your risk budget (2% of bankroll by default, adjustable) and shows Your coverage, so you know if one bad session fits your roll.

FAQ

How many sessions can I track for free?

A free account includes 10 sessions, started or logged. A subscription unlocks unlimited sessions. Past sessions stay visible either way.

Can I log a session after I've left the casino?

Yes. Use Log previous session(s) and enter the location, date, start time, hours played and amounts.

How do rebuys affect my results?

Rebuys are added to what you put in, so your session result is your cash-out minus your total buy-in.

When do Advanced Metrics show up?

After at least two completed sessions. They use the sessions in the time filter you pick on the Trend tab.

Why does my risk of ruin change a little between visits?

It's a Monte Carlo estimate from 5,000 simulations of your own session history. It uses fresh random draws each time it runs, so it can move slightly.

What does "No Edge" mean on the Kelly card?

Your sessions so far don't show a mathematical edge. Kelly then suggests risking nothing; if you keep playing, keep sessions small.
